If we decide to move forward and get together for the First Appointment, we will meet via ZOOM for about 45 minutes to determine if Education Funding Specialists can help your family.
During this FREE CONSULTATION, we’ll learn a bit about your family and your student, and you will learn about how we have helped other families like yours with our process. It's not just award money that we bring to the table, but the motivation your child needs to excel in their high school career.
At the end of the meeting, if you decide you want to move forward and we believe that we can help, we collect a deposit and schedule a second appointment. The deposit is refundable until the end of the second appointment when you fully engage.
At the Second Appointment we cover an array of Student Positioning topics including:
1. Meet The Student
We introduce your student to the process and separate the myths from the realities of college.
2. Expected Family Contribution (EFC) Analysis
We will show you how the colleges perceive you financially and what they will see as your ability to pay for school.
3. Enrollment Management In-Depth Review
Learn about the behind the scenes process taking place at colleges across the country. As we like to say, colleges are big business and after learning about Enrollment Management you’ll see exactly how true that statement is!
4. Review Student Positioning Process
We outline the steps of the process and show you some of the tools you will be utilizing.
5. Determine if you want to pay Retail or Wholesale How would you prefer to pay for college?
6. Engage Services
Determine if you want to fully engage and if so, collect the balance of our fee.
At the Third Appointment, we will present the financial plan and:
1. Review Your Customized College Planning Manual
We will go over the step-by-step guide we designed for you to show you how to both successfully cash flow college education(s) and still have a rewarding retirement for your golden years.
2. Implement And Manage Your Plan
We’ll guide you in getting started with the plan!
Finally, it is important to note that we are with you through this entire college process, and into the Freshman year in college. EVERY family gets Chris Lester's personal cell phone number. We are here to make your lives easier, and we will not push you off on an intern or associate.

Professional Planning Servicesbegan over twenty years ago when Christopher J. Lester, President, combined his personal and professional experiences to help small businesses and families plan for retirement. He uses advanced financial tools to help clients get out of debt quickly and safely. Chris applies his expertise to help clients build a stable nest egg while protecting the important components of their lives.
In 2004 Chris launched the first of his two sister companies, Education Funding Specialists. As a certified college planner with expertise in late-stage planning, Chris offers specialized concentration to help clients manage their finances during their children’s college years. EZ Pro Tax, started in 2012, is a tax preparation company that allows families to ensure their financial efficiency.
Chris is a United States Navy veteran whose training in mechanical engineering gives him an inherent ability to solve problems. He holds both the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Certified College Planner (CCPS) designations. Chris is also a member of the New Jersey Better Business Bureau.
Married with four children, Chris lives in Cream Ridge, New Jersey. He is an accomplished fourth black belt in Isshin Ryu karate and trains in Brazilian jiu jitsu.
